Happy Friday the 13th! Today I’m sharing new work for the Calm Down Club’s online store launch. They’re brand new and local business specializing in non-toxic aromatherapy candles made in small batch. It was such a pleasure working with my dear friend and owner Cassandra in the creation of these images. Throughout the day of shooting at the beautiful Summerset studio, we shot multiple candles in various scenarios, starting with simple product shots on a white backdrop, followed by lifestyle shots showing each candle in a styled environment, and we finished the day off with portraits of Cassandra.
The natural light at the studio was so gorgeous, we were able to do some of the product shots using just the natural light coming from the big, rounded windows. The rest was shot using Profoto strobes.
Special thanks to our stylist and helper Presley Foskett, the studio attendant Rebecca for accommodating us with all our requests, and the studio pup for the free snuggles!
